Joining Technology

Joining Technology

In joining technology, we rely on materials such as steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and cast metal. Depending on the requirements, we use a variety of processes. We employ cold joining, hot joining, and adhesive bonding techniques. This allows us to select the appropriate joining method for every material and application. Our goal is to create high-quality, durable joints.

PROCESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Product data analysis & planning joining sequences
  • Derivation of clamping & fixing concepts
  • Design of fixtures & equipment for manual assembly
  • Partially & fully automated assembly
  • Measurement & testing tasks
  • Creation of visualised work instructions for assembly
  • In both CATIA V5 and Siemens NX
  • Human-robot collaboration

EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURING

  • Product data analysis & planning joining sequences
  • Derivation of clamping & fixing concepts
  • Design of fixtures & equipment for manual, partially and fully automated assembly and for measurement & testing tasks
  • Complete production (mechanical, pneumatic & electrical) from a single source
  • Implementation possible in line with both in-house standard and customer’s own standard
    • Calibration of the equipment (incl. shim documentation)
    • In addition, incorporation of the equipment is also possible at the customer’s premises
      • Initial tryout with original parts
      • Dimensional analysis & implementation of adjustment measures in the equipment

MANUAL ASSEMBLY

  • Manual construction of assemblies
  • A wide range of manual joining processes are available in-house
  • Installation of modular assemblies
  • Assembly support & body in white analysis
  • Production-standard surface finish
  • Production of single fixtures and templates
  • Spot welding (steel, aluminium)
  • MAG, MIG, WIG
  • Punch riveting
  • Clinching
  • Gluing
  • Projection welding

AUTOM. ASSEMBLY

Partially & fully automated production of assemblies made of:

  • Aluminium
  • Steel
  • Stainless steel

A wide range of manual joining processes are available in-house

  • Spot welding (steel, aluminium)
  • MAG, MIG, CMT
  • Punch riveting
  • Clinching
  • FDS screws
  • Laser welding & soldering
  • Gluing
  • Roller hemming
  • FDC (Flex Double Cell)
  • FCC (Flex Carrier Cell)
  • FSC (Flex Structure Cell)
  • FRC (Flex Revolver Cell)

PLANT COMMISSIONING / AUTOMATION

  • Incorporation of equipment including initial tryout with original parts, dimensional analysis and implementation of adjustment measures
  • Development, planning and implementation of our own equipment concepts
  • Simulation of robot programs and systems
  • Online/offline programming of robots and control units
  • Upgrading systems through to start of production
  • Cycle time optimisation
